Architectural Project Design
Architectural Project Design
An architectural design defines how a building will be used and constructed before it defines how it will look. A good design is one that can be implemented on-site.
We begin the design process with site data, zoning requirements, the user requirements program, and the operational scenario. The impact of decisions made during the conceptual phase on the budget is many times greater than that of decisions made during the construction drawings phase.
We carry out structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering work in tandem with the architectural design, resolving interdisciplinary conflicts during the drafting phase. This ensures that on-site issues—such as “the pipe doesn’t fit through the beam”—do not carry over into the construction phase.
Through 3D visualization, we ensure that the investor has a clear understanding of the project before permitting. This significantly reduces requests for design changes that arise late in the process and are costly.
Our scope also includes preparing all necessary technical documents for permitting and approval processes, as well as handling correspondence with the relevant authorities.
A significant portion of a building’s lifetime costs arises not during the construction phase but during the operational phase: heating and cooling, lighting, maintenance, and repairs. All of these factors are determined by architectural design decisions—the building’s orientation, facade design, natural lighting, and the placement of utility shafts. An extra week spent during the design phase can permanently reduce recurring annual operating costs. At Exsol Construction, we approach architectural projects with this perspective—not merely as documentation required for a building permit, but as a set of decisions that determine the economic lifespan of the investment.
For industrial facilities, administrative buildings, social infrastructure, and mixed-use structures, we provide end-to-end services—from conceptual design to construction drawings, and from 3D visualization to the completion of the permitting documentation—with our team of expert architects and engineers. Our ability to manage the design and construction processes simultaneously ensures that the on-site implications of every decision made in the project are known in advance.
